We are a non-denominational, dedicated group of Bible believers working to serve the community in and around Lewistown, Montana. We offer Bible classes for small children, teens and adults. We believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe God gave us His Holy Word passed down through generations as the only way for us to truly come to know Jesus fully. The Word leads us and guides our thoughts and actions. We seek to be obedient to the Word and the guiding of the Holy Spirit as well as Holy Spirit led in our lives.
Christian beliefs are not the product of our preferences or imaginations. God has revealed what we are to believe and how we are to live. As Christians, we endeavor to learn and understand God’s will. Below are short summaries of some of our more significant beliefs.
We believe in the God of the Bible who created and sustains all that is. Our God is a God of love and justice who continually reaches out to bring us close to Him in this life and for eternity. Since He is God and we are His children, we do our best to submit our will to His and live to His glory.
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that he is the only way to salvation and eternal life. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a perfect, sinless life, and then gave His life on the cross for our sins. On the third day He rose from the dead, and today reigns in heaven.
We believe that the Bible is the God-given guide that we must follow in order to get the most out of life. The Bible is the only objective source of information that we have to learn of God’s will for us and the church. The Bible tells us about God, Christ, the church and how to live as Christians. We believe that all that we do and believe must be taught or implied in the Bible.
We believe that sin is the problem and that God’s grace is the only solution. It was God’s grace that sent Jesus to the cross for our sins, and it is God’s grace that offers the benefits of Christ’s sacrifice to us. When our trust in God’s grace leads us to accept salvation on His terms, our sins are removed and we are added to the family of God, the church.
We believe that the church is the gathering of God’s people on earth. All who respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ through faith in Him, repentance of sin, and immersion into Christ are members of the church, the body of Christ. The church has no clergy-laity separation. Each member plays a vital role in taking the gospel to the world, and in helping fellow Christians serve God faithfully.
My family has been working in ministry in the Central Montana area since August of 2011. I do my best to help lead the congregation by preaching, teaching, and discipling. Being involved in the community is a major focus of my work and I am active in EMS, several nonprofits, a community chaplain program, as well as various benevolent opportunities through my community connections. My wife, Allison, is very active as well and provides teaching in our children's classes as well as in various ladies groups in addition to providing direction with the physical church building. She loves to work on a "project" at the building and has really made our physical space so much more appealing. She is quite the woodworker! Our family (Caden, Brynlee, and Tessa) enjoys living the Central Montana lifestyle of being outdoors, hunting, camping, and raising many different types of animals. We do enjoy traveling and visiting family as time permits.
Caleb Grove, a church member since 2015, was brought on as an associate minister in 2021. He is in the office on most Wednesdays and is responsible for various administrative duties, building improvements, and church technology and media. He also helps teach bible classes on Wednesday evenings and regularly helps lead during Sunday assembly.
He serves the broader Central Montana community in his roles as a search and rescue responder and volunteer firefighter, and builds websites for Lewistown nonprofits and businesses. Raised as an outdoorsman, you may bump into him hiking or snowshoeing in the Big Snowy Mountains on his days off.
